What's the sizing like?

All sizes are listed in Australian womens sizing, in the chart below you can find measurements in both centimetres & inches, along with common international size conversions

I'm in the process of writing up really detailed pages for each of our core styles, you can find the first one for the ruffle bralette here

 

Do you have a shop, I'd love to try them on in person!

You can find a selection of Desvalido at With Love, Bree-Lacey at 289 Hunter Street, Newcastle. 

Do you ship internationally?

Absolutely, there's even free shipping over $200 AUD for international orders. You can upgrade to tracked shipping & international express to shave a little off the delivery time. Please look into your countries import taxes & customs fees & be aware of any additional costs before purchasing

Do you use real silk?

Yes, I use both 100% silk (from silkworms) for some items, & polyester satin for others. Anything that says it's silk will be the real thing. If you prefer to stay away from animal products, simply type "-silk" when searching to filter the results

Do you do custom orders?

Thank you for trusting Desvalido enough to ask! Unfortunately I no longer have the time to create custom styles from scratch. However I CAN absolutely provide custom sizing if you're outside of the range currently offered. Please fill in the contact form for more information - these will take a few weeks to create so as long as you're happy to wait, let's get it done :)

What's your return policy?

We accept returns on everything besides sale items, close fitting underwear (eg French knickers can be returned, g-strings unfortunately not), & customised items unless discussed at the time of purchase. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless your order arrives incorrect, faulty, or damaged (please take photos of the packaging ASAP if this is the case, it's rare & we'll need to take it up with our postal service) please get in touch within 30 days of your order being delivered! We can exchange or refund, however refunds are subject to a 10% fee to cover payment processing charges & admin involved

Can I cancel my order?

You can, providing your order hasn't shipped yet. All cancellations are subject to a 10% restocking fee & refunds will be processed via your original payment method. If your order has shipped you'll need to return it first - simply mark the package RTS & pop it back in the post

I'm outside Australia & my order is being returned to you because I didn't pay my customs fees or pick it up from the post office in time?

I get it, it happens sometimes! The postie attempts delivery & doesn't tell you your package is waiting at the post office, or you weren't aware it was in customs at all. The best ways to prevent this from happening are to make sure your info is correct when you place your order, address, phone number (I will never call you, don't worry! It's strictly for delivery purposes), & email address specifically. Check the tracking details at least once a week, they'll be sent to you in a shipping confirmation email & you can also find them by clicking on your order confirmation link (once your order has shipped, otherwise it'll simply say "we've got your order!" or something)
Once it returns to me I can post it back to you at your cost or we can cancel & refund, less shipping charge & a 10% restocking fee. Prevention is the best way to go here, they do not prioritise international returns so it can take weeks to get back to me! This isn't really a FAQ to be honest, this happens once or twice a year but it's always difficult when it does
